Etoile African Braids’, story begins with a simple passion for beautiful, professionally braided hair and a belief that every woman deserves access to quality African hair braiding services at an affordable price.
Like many Black women, I loved wearing braided hairstyles, but professional salon visits often felt beyond my budget. I spent years braiding my own hair because it was the most practical option. After becoming a mother, caring for both my daughter’s hair and my own made me realize how difficult it could be to find professional African braiding services that combined quality, affordability, and genuine care.
That experience inspired a dream that eventually became Etoile African Braids.
“Etoile” means “star” in French, and that name reflects the experience we want every client to have.
